Mercur was established in 1952 as an autonomous and neutral organization Incumbent of their duties as efficient and reliable Superintendents.

Mercur are disassociated with any manufacturing, industrial, commercial, trading or similar interest.

Mercur expertly perform the following SERVICES :

• Control of quantity and quality of all kinds of export, import and transit commodities, packed or in bulk.
• Sampling and testing of chemicals, edible oils, crude oil, petroleum products and petrochemicals.
• We attend to the analysis of the products either at the receivers or shippers laboratories or remit samples to official and recognized technical laboratories.
• Attendantly check the weight and quality of goods in the capacity of Sworn Weighers and Measures.
• Survey, in agreement between seller and buyer quality and packing of merchandise, ascertain and estimate alleged damages sustained etc.

Mercur issue adequately approved Certificates for all kinds of commodities which attest that the goods conform in every respect with the contract and/or Letter of Credit, to which certificate is appended the corroborative documents required for negotiating the L/C.

Mercur are also equipped for attending and supervising the proper handling, loading and storage of cargoes aboard vessels, as well as attending to the unloading and ascertaining conditions on discharge.

Mercur's Surveying Department, acting for account of Insurance Companies, ascertain the damage incurred, determine the inherent or otherwise cause thereof and submit appropriate recommendation.

Mercur are appointed Surveyors of leading, both local and foreign, Insurance Companies.
